As we are approaching the fence Lufthansa flight LH492 to Vancouver (YYR) is climbing out of runway 25R which will be 25C soon. The complete area has looked like the forest in the background before.

In the harbour you can see the Esso and Chevron floating gas stations. Stanley Park is on the other side of Coal Harbour. In the distance on the right is Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver. On the left in the distance are the mountains known as The Lions.

View from north end of Burrard Street in Vancouver, British Columbia in March 2002. The construction is the start of the elevated street extensions and the Shaw office building. In the harbour you can see a couple of seaplanes.
On the far side are the apartment buildings of central North Vancouver and Grouse Mountain.
